No more waiting at the door for a late flight. Self check-in gives guests freedom and saves hosts hours.
Flights are delayed, trains are cancelled, guests arrive at midnight. With a key handover in person, someone has to wait. With self check-in, the guest walks in whenever they arrive, and nobody loses an evening.
A key box
- Simple and affordable: a sturdy box with a code, mounted near the entrance.
- Change the code regularly, ideally between guests.
- Check first whether your building or co-owners allow one on the facade or in the hall.
A smart lock
- A unique code for every stay, valid only from check-in to check-out.
- No keys to lose or copy.
- Choose a model that also works when the internet is down, and keep a backup key with your manager.
Make arrival foolproof
- Send clear instructions with a photo of the entrance and the box or lock.
- Mention the floor, the door and where the light switch is.
- Keep a contact available for the first hour after arrival.
