Privacy policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026
Athina Property Management respects your privacy. This policy explains which personal data we process, why, how long we keep it and what your rights are. We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Belgian privacy law.
1. Who is responsible
- Athina Property Management, trade name of Athina Velter
- Address: Dries 39, 9340 Lede, Belgium
- VAT number: BE 1024.194.492
- Email: hello@athinaproperty.com
- Phone: +32 469 68 08 91
2. Which data we process
Depending on how you contact us or work with us, we may process:
- your name, email address and phone number;
- what you fill in on our forms, such as the country, city, type and size of your property;
- information about your property, your request, an agreement, a booking or a stay;
- messages you send us by email, WhatsApp or phone;
- contract, invoicing and payment details;
- technical data such as your IP address, browser type, language choice and cookie preference.
We only ask for what we need to help you.
3. Why we process it, and on what basis
- to answer your questions and requests (your request, or steps before an agreement);
- to prepare a revenue estimate or a proposal (steps before an agreement);
- to carry out our agreement with you, including listings, guests, cleaning, maintenance and reporting (performance of a contract);
- to keep our accounts and meet legal obligations, such as tax rules and guest registration duties (legal obligation);
- to keep the website secure and working (legitimate interest);
- to measure how the website is used, only if you accept analytics cookies (consent).
A revenue estimate is an indication only. It is not a guarantee of occupancy, income or return.
4. Who we share data with
We never sell your personal data. Where needed, we share data with:
- our website and hosting platform (Base44), email and IT providers;
- booking platforms such as Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo;
- the owner of the property concerned, and guests where needed for a stay;
- cleaning, maintenance and other partners who carry out work in the property;
- accountants, insurers, advisers and public authorities, where required.
These parties only receive the data they need for their task.
Our website also loads fonts from Google Fonts and photos from Unsplash. To show them, your browser connects to their servers, which then see your IP address.
5. Transfers outside the EU
Some providers, such as our website platform, may process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. In that case we rely on a legal transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
When we manage a property in Dubai, data needed for that property (for example guest registration) is processed in the United Arab Emirates under local rules.
6. How long we keep data
We keep personal data no longer than needed. Requests and revenue estimates that do not lead to an agreement are kept for at most 24 months after our last contact. Contract, accounting and tax records are kept for as long as the law requires.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- see the data we hold about you, or correct it;
- delete it, or limit how we use it;
- send it to you or to another party (data portability);
- stop certain processing (objection);
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.
Send your request to hello@athinaproperty.com. We answer within one month.
You can also file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (www.dataprotectionauthority.be).
8. Security and changes
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
We may update this policy when our website, services or the law change. The latest version is always on this page.
